Windy, Romantic Engagement Session at Huntington Country Club
Caroline and Peter’s engagement session at the Huntington Country Club felt like summer date night with a dramatic twist. Both Caroline and Peter’s families have deep connections with this gorgeous venue, so it was the perfect spot for a meaningful engagement session. As a photographer, I love when a location holds real emotional weight (as you’ve heard me say before!). Despite the windy day, and the storm that hovered on the horizon, I had a wonderful time getting to know Caroline and Peter!
The wind became an unexpected star of the session: lifting Caroline’s floral applique dress and giving the images a beautiful sense of motion. We embraced every breeze and stormy sky, letting the weather shape the mood of their portraits. Yet, Caroline and Peter smiled and laughed through it all. I loved watching them just be together. It’s what makes engagement sessions so special.
Congratulations, Caroline and Peter. Thank you for trusting me to capture truly beautiful and unique images as the storm played around us!
Fall is one of my favorite times for engagement photos in New York. The weather is cooler, the city starts to change, and it is such a good time to walk around together without dealing with the summer heat. Whether you want fall colors in Central Park or more of a city feel in your favorite neighborhood, there are so many ways to plan a fall engagement session that feels like you.
