Spring Engagement Session at Central Park with Cherry Blossoms

There’s nothing quite like Central Park in the spring. Catherine and Paul’s engagement session landed on one of those truly perfect days when the cherry blossoms were at peak bloom. Planning a spring engagement session in the park requires some planning and a little bit of luck to capture these delicate flowers!

For their session, we wandered through the park, starting near the iconic Bethesda Fountain. Everywhere you looked, the soft petals framed the park - and Catherine and Paul -  in clouds of pink and white. It’s one of my favorite times of year to photograph couples in Central Park. There’s nothing like New York in early spring, as the city begins to thaw and everyone begins to live outside again.

Spring in Central Park is one of the most beautiful and in-demand times for portrait sessions. The cherry blossoms only last a week or two, and they completely transform the landscape. Whether you're planning an engagement, anniversary, or just want to capture this short season of bloom, it’s always worth it!
