Iconic New York Wedding at the New York Athletic Club

 

Danielle and Tim’s wedding was a gorgeous example of a wedding day with timeless New York vibes. First, they kicked off the celebrations with a welcome aprty at Dear Irving. It was wonderful to spend the evening with Danielle, Tim and their guests in such a gorgeous spot! Danielle opted for a sleek and stylish blue gown while she mingled with guests and looked like a glowing bride-to-be!

The day of their wedding brought even more iconic NYC details! With a sophisticated black, white, and sage green palette, and a ceremony held at the historic St. Vincent Ferrer Church, their celebration was steeped in classic beauty. Then you throw in bridal portraits in Central Park - and a romantic carriage ride - and you’ve truly got everything you need for an NYC wedding day. 

Planning a wedding means so many decisions have to be made, but when you have a clear vision in your minds, like Danielle and Tim did, everything becomes a little easier. It was important to them that their day felt very classic - and would turn into a party once the dance floor opened up! I think they pulled it off incredibly well and I loved spending the day celebrating them in the city they love so much. It was especially fun to wander around Central Park with the bride and groom. We ventured throughout the park - including the Bethesda Terrace - for portraits that showcased what makes the city so beautiful on a wedding day! 

Their reception at the New York Athletic Club brought the grandeur of old New York to life. The glowing fireplace, the wood-beamed ceilings, and sweeping views of Central Park created an inviting atmosphere. Guests mingled to the sound of a live piano during cocktail hour while I finished portraits with the newlyweds. This simple performance set the tone for dinner. As the dance floor opened up, I leaned into the requests that Danielle and Tim had, including fun motion blur on the dance floor for their reception photos! I always love this style for the end of the night - chic, editorial, and a little wild in the best way.

Danielle and Tim proved it’s possible to have both timeless elegance and serious party vibes—right in the heart of Manhattan. Congratulations to you both! I loved being a part of your NYC wedding day!
