Classic and Timeless Wedding Day at the Ashford Estate

Working at the Ashford Estate is one of my favorite things to do as a New York wedding photographer, so when Gracie and Mitch told me that’s where they were getting married, I knew I had to be there! Ashford Estate has one of the best teams in the state and they always create an incredible experience for couples that get married there. Gracie and Mitch’s wedding day was no exception. It was absolutely stunning - filled with the most elegant and classic wedding.

Gracie and Mitch planned a beautiful celebration that was inspired a lot by Ashford Estate itself. They wanted to create an old school classic and romantic vibe. It was important to Gracie and Mitch that their wedding day felt timeless. That meant a lot of white flowers, and peonies plus candles and greenery. I truly LOVED how their celebration came to life. For Gracie and Mitch, the other important part of their day was that they could feel the love of their people all together in one space. Everything was meant to be elegant, but not formal - and filled with lots of dancing, drinks, and fun.

During their summer wedding day, Gracie and Mitch chose not to do a first look. Instead, they met at the altar for the first time. Gracie did a sweet first look with her brother and dad, though! It was a really special start to the wedding day. Their wedding ceremony took place in front of the stone fireplace at Ashford Estate. It was beautiful and their vows were emotional. Afterwards, we walked around the beautiful grounds of the Ashford Estate. We lucked out with a gorgeous sunset for their portraits before they headed to their reception inside the estate. Their reception was beautiful! I loved the white flowers and gold candles everywhere. It was so elegant.
