Classic Wedding at the Vanderbilt Museum

Congratulations, Danielle and Greg! As a wedding photographer in NYC, I get to experience some truly magical venues—and the Vanderbilt Museum is one of my absolute favorites. Nestled on the coast of Long Island, this historic estate offers everything from classic architecture to sweeping waterfront views making each wedding day truly beautiful. Danielle and Greg’s wedding day made full use of this incredible venue and I am so pleased to have been a part of their elegant celebration!

The day began at St. Patrick’s Church in Huntington, where Greg laid eyes on his beautiful bride for the first time. Danielle and Greg exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their church is absolutely stunning! Wedding guests enjoyed the bubble exit for the bride and groom. I always love these exits. They’re super fun, easy to coordinate and always make for wonderfully playful photos!

Vanderbilt Museum Wedding Day

Following the ceremony, we headed to the Vanderbilt Museum for portraits and the celebration to follow. There’s so many incredible spots around the museum for portraits. We visited two of the gardens for portraits (the Rose Garden and Quatrefoil) and Danielle and Greg held their cocktail hour in the courtyard, too!

Danielle and Greg were truly present every step of the day. They prioritized time with their guests, even structuring their timeline so they could fully enjoy cocktail hour (which I think was wonderful!). Danielle and Greg also kept an elegant palette of light blue and white - woven throughout the flowers, attire, and decor in the tented reception. Danielle’s bridesmaids wore blue satin dresses in varying styles, a beautiful contrast to the crisp white bouquets they carried.

One of the best (and most fun!) parts of this wedding was the unforgettable energy on the dance floor. Danielle and Greg had an incredible live band that kept the party going late into the night.
