Pier Sixty Wedding Day

Joanna and Chris had the most gorgeous Pier Sixty wedding! Pier Sixty is one of my all-time favorite venues in Manhattan. You can’t ask for a more beautiful view of the water! Joanna and Chris planned a simply elegant wedding day with a modern feel - and it was perfect. After their first look and the two exchanged letters, I took the soon-to-be newlyweds to the highline for some of their portraits and they were absolutely beautiful. We really have a gorgeous city!!

Back at Pier Sixty, their ceremony was being set up. The two tied the knot under a metal arbor with simple white flowers (which later stood over the cake). One of my favorite things about their day was actually the almost all-white color scheme. With pops of mauve in the bridesmaids’ dresses and some light blues in their wedding cake, their details were just stunning. During their ceremony, their sweet pup Butter even made an appearance! He was adorable in his own little tux!!!

While we were shooting a few more portraits along the waterfront, Madeline - Pier Sixty’s incredible venue coordinator - helped transform their reception space. Gorgeous tall floral centerpieces were placed at the tables and their live band got all ready to help everyone party the night away! Joanna and Chris, your wedding day was just amazing from start to finish. I’m thrilled I could be there to capture all of your special moments!

“Asher was a dream to work with! From our introductory call to our big day, Asher was helpful, supportive and SO patient. She is an amazing photographer, and has the ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. Asher was so organized every step of the way - I always felt confident that nothing would get looked over. She is a seasoned pro, and you are in great hands if you work with her! Now we have gorgeous wedding photos that we will treasure forever!”
