Inside an Elegant Gotham Hall Wedding in New York City

Some weddings feel timeless from the very beginning, and Kat and Manny’s celebration at Gotham Hall was exactly that. Set in the heart of Manhattan on Broadway, every part of the day felt elevated, intentional, and unmistakably New York City. From iconic portraits inside The Frick Collection to a candlelit reception beneath cathedral ceilings, the entire wedding blended classic elegance with personal touches that made the experience unforgettable.

The design throughout the day felt refined while still full of warmth and personality. Black, white, and gold details created a timeless foundation, while florals in rich reds, dusty roses, greens, and soft purples added texture and depth to every space. The floral installations throughout the reception completely transformed Gotham Hall, especially the dramatic arrangement extending upward toward the mezzanine level. Combined with candlelit tables and the venue’s grand architecture, the entire atmosphere felt luxurious without ever feeling overdone.

One of the most iconic parts of the day was documenting portraits inside The Frick Collection. Known for its remarkable collection of 14th to 19th century European paintings and decorative art, the museum carries such an incredible sense of history and sophistication. Every room felt cinematic, with ornate interiors and timeless details that perfectly complemented the overall vision of the wedding. Having the opportunity to create portraits in a space this beautiful felt incredibly special and brought such a unique editorial feel to the gallery of images.

Their engagement session at The Metropolitan Museum of Art reflected that same timeless New York energy. Photographing them at one of the city’s most iconic museums felt like the perfect extension of their wedding aesthetic. Pairing the elegance of the museum with candid moments throughout the Upper East Side created engagement photos that felt elevated, fashionable, and personal all at once.

Back at Gotham Hall, guests were welcomed into a reception space that truly came alive throughout the evening. The cathedral ceilings immediately made a statement, while the florals, candlelight, and layered textures softened the grandeur of the venue in the most beautiful way. Every detail felt intentional, creating an experience that was both visually stunning and deeply inviting for everyone there.

What made the celebration even more meaningful was the beautiful blend of American and Greek cultures woven throughout the night. The joining of two families could be felt in every part of the day, especially once the dancing began. Traditional Greek circle dances brought so much energy and joy to the reception, filling the room with celebration from the very beginning. Later in the evening, the traditional Greek Zembekiko dance created one of the most memorable moments of the night, adding another emotional and deeply personal layer to the experience.

Kat and Manny’s wedding was the perfect reflection of everything I love about documenting celebrations in New York City. Elegant design, meaningful traditions, iconic locations, and an atmosphere that felt completely alive from beginning to end. Every part of the day felt immersive, stylish, emotional, and timeless all at once.

Being part of a wedding this intentional and unforgettable at Gotham Hall was truly such an honor! Keep scrolling to see a glimpse into their wedding day and engagement session at the end!
