Casual Engagement Portraits at the Pridwin on Shelter Island NY
Stephanie and Tim are such a wonderful couple. In the fall, we met up at the Pridwin, a classic resort hotel on Shelter Island, for their engagement session. They told me early on that they wanted a casual session that would capture the beauty of the Pridwin Hotel. This area is meaningful to their families - having spent many a summer out on Shelter Island, this quaint little spot at the end of Long Island. I’m so happy that Tim and Stephanie suggested a session here! I love the waterfront and views of the Peconic Bay.
The Pridwin Hotel is a classic American resort hotel that has been offering welcoming hospitality on Shelter Island since 1927. Their property contains nearly 8 acres of land on Crescent Beach, and the hotel is known for its bay views. Stephanie and Tim looked amazing - their outfits really complementing the historic hotel. I’m still obsessed with Stephanie’s two piece dress - the lace skirt was absolutely incredible!
This casual engagement session was a dream come true. Stephanie and Tim were able to lounge by the pool and show me some of their favorite spots on the beach. The Pridwin Hotel even has a beautiful wooden dock that proved to be a beautiful backdrop for some romantic portraits near the end of our session.
Stephanie and Tim, thank you for bringing me here! I loved spending time with you at the Pridwin. It was absolutely stunning - and your smiles and love made it all that more beautiful. Congratulations!
Fall is one of my favorite times for engagement photos in New York. The weather is cooler, the city starts to change, and it is such a good time to walk around together without dealing with the summer heat. Whether you want fall colors in Central Park or more of a city feel in your favorite neighborhood, there are so many ways to plan a fall engagement session that feels like you.
